Privacy Policy

Manuel Caspari built the Turnip Calculator for ACNH app as an ad-supported app with an optional one-time Pro upgrade. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the app and how it is used.

What this app does NOT do

• No user accounts or registration.
• No sign-in, cloud sync, or remote servers operated by the developer.
• No analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, no third-party crash reporting).
• No custom tracking of your behaviour beyond what is described below.

All turnip prices, predictions, and app settings are stored locally on your device and never transmitted to the developer.

Data collected by third-party services

The app integrates the following third-party SDKs that may collect data to identify you or serve ads. Please review their privacy policies:

• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — serves advertisements in the free version of the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the IDFA on iOS, subject to your ATT choice), IP address, and usage signals to show relevant ads.

• Apple App Store / Google Play in-app purchases — the Pro upgrade is processed entirely by the platform's native purchase system. The developer does not receive your payment details. Purchase history is managed by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies.

Advertising consent (GDPR / EEA users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, the app will present a consent form on first launch (powered by Google's User Messaging Platform). You can choose whether to allow personalised or non-personalised ads. You can revisit your consent choice at any time from the app's settings.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, the app requests permission to access the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If you decline, AdMob will show non-personalised ads. Your choice does not affect any other app functionality.

Local notifications

The app can send local notifications to remind you to enter your daily turnip prices and to alert you on potential peak selling days. These notifications are scheduled entirely on-device. No notification content or timing is transmitted to any server.

Log data

The app does not collect crash reports or diagnostic logs. If the app crashes, no data is automatically sent anywhere. Device-level crash information may be shared with the developer through the App Store or Google Play crash reporting systems, governed by Apple's and Google's privacy policies respectively.

Cookies

The app itself does not use cookies. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may use similar tracking technologies as described in Google's privacy policy.

Children's privacy

This app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact me so I can take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
